Malone to receive alumni award from law school

ALBANY — Bernard J. Malone, Jr., senior counsel with Whiteman Osterman & Hanna LLP, will be honored with Albany Law School’s 2013 Distinguished Alumni Award during the Barrister Soiree Friday at the Schuyler Meadows Club in Loudonville.

The Distinguished Alumni Award is presented by the Albany Law School’s National Alumni Association to honor an alumnus who has demonstrated an outstanding professional accomplishment, community service and support for the Albany Law School, in addition to a career that exemplifies the highest standard of professionalism, personal integrity, compassion and someone who is an advocate for the Albany Law School and the legal profession.

Pluto joins staff at Albany Med

ALBANY — Luke Pluto, M.D., a specialist in sleep disorders, has joined Albany Medical Center’s Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care and has been appointed assistant professor in pulmonary and critical care at Albany Medical College.

Pluto is board-certified in internal medicine, pulmonary disease, critical care medicine and sleep medicine.

He specializes in pulmonary disease and treating patients with sleep disorders, including sleep apnea, insomnia, narcolepsy and other conditions.

A graduate of Northwestern University Medical School, Pluto completed his residency at St. Joseph Hospital in Chicago and completed a fellowship at Loyola University Medical Center.

Pluto is now seeing patients at Albany Medical Center, 43 New Scotland Ave.
