Seven arrested in Fulton County drug raids

Seven Fulton County residents are facing drug charges following a series of raids on Thursday.

Seven Fulton County residents are facing drug charges following a series of raids on Thursday.

Officers from the Gloversville and Johnstown police departments joined State Police to serve search and arrest warrants that netted cocaine, crack cocaine, prescription drugs, marijuana and cash, according to a release from the Gloversville Police Department.

According to the release, the following individuals were taken into custody:

*Maurice "Mo/Big Homie" Wallace, 31, of 5 East Eighth Ave., Gloversville, was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Police allege Wallace had crack cocaine and $5,000 in cash. He was arraigned by Fulton County Court Judge Richard Giardino and sent to the Fulton County Jail without bail.

*Debra Hayes, 53, of 3 East Eighth Ave., Gloversville, was charged with first-degree criminal nuisance, a felony, and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor. Hayes was issued an appearance ticket.

*Darnell "D" Alston, 41, of 57 Steele Ave., Gloversville, was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Police allege Alston had cocaine and $200 in cash. He was arraigned and jailed without bail.

Police reported four individuals were each charged with two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and two counts of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance. They include Clyde Jones, 47, of 14 Curtis St., Gloversville; Marvin "Loco" McLaurin, 25, of 2552 State Route 29, Johnstown; Toni Borromeo, 37, of 28 Chestnut St., Johnstown; and Mark Atty, 24, of 69 Hill St. Gloversville.

All four were arraigned and sent to the Fulton County Jail without bail.
