Silence of murders is deafening

The outcry of indignation by the liberal press, Obama, Sharpton, Oprah, et al. over the recent murders of a young foreign sports figure and an 88-year-old WWII vet is so deafening, there must be racial bias in this country.

Malta deserves Gottman for town justice

I support Steven H. Gottman for Malta Town Justice. We deserve a judiciary that is professional and has the training, education and experience necessary to protect due process for our citizens and provide equal justice under the law.

Steve Gottman has been a practicing attorney in our area for many years. As a practicing attorney myself, in Saratoga County, I have had numerous occasions to deal with Steve while representing my clients in transactions with clients he represented. I always found him to be honest, competent and knowledgeable. We need those qualities in our town justice.

As a neighbor of Steve’s, I have gotten to know him as a family man who is actively involved in our community, with a genuine interest in the welfare of the residents of our community.

In the Sept. 10 Republican primary, Malta town residents should consider voting for a true and caring professional, Steven Gottman, for Malta Town Justice.

Candidates Arrigo and Gerber best for GOP

I am voting for Rob Arrigo and Elaine Gerber for Republican State Committee. They will hold [Senate Republican leader] Dean Skelos, and the other “so-called” Republicans, accountable for passing the SAFE Act.

I am tired of these party insiders who are supposed to represent us on the state committee, but it’s clear don’t represent anyone but themselves.

Arrigo and Gerber are good, grass-roots Republican candidates who want to create a state party that puts principle above politics.

Zurlo’s endorsements includes the law enforcement community

With the race for Saratoga County sheriff heating up, I have started to pay closer attention as the September Primary looms.

I am surprised to see that one candidate in particular, Michael Zurlo, has the support of much of the law enforcement community. He has earned the support of the Saratoga County Correctional Officers Union, the New York State Law Enforcement Officers Union-Council 82 and the New York State Deputies Association.

To me, the average voter, these endorsements speak volumes of an individuals experience. On Sept. 10, I’ll be voting for Michael Zurlo.
