Sheriff Zurlo has the proven experience to remain as sheriff
As current members of the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office road patrol, we would like to voice our support for Michael Zurlo for Saratoga County sheriff.
We have all experienced Mike’s capacity for empathy, compassion and understanding. We have also experienced his strong ability to lead and direct, using sound judgment.
During Mike’s career we have personally seen him work closely with the local police departments, state police, Secret Service, FBI, ATF, and many others.
During Mike’s tenure at the Sheriff’s Office, he supervised three shifts of sergeants, investigators, deputies, desk sergeants and desk officers — over 100 personnel. He has proven to be not only a top-of-the-line cop, but also a first-rate administrator. With Mike’s experience as a first- and second-line supervisor, investigator and town justice, he has the training and experience to be an excellent sheriff.
The candidates for sheriff have spoken of their visions for the Sheriff’s Office, but Mike is the only candidate with the knowledge of what talent, training and equipment the Sheriff’s Office possesses.
Please know that we have taken our own time to write this letter according to our own views, experience and conscience. Mike Zurlo, the Republican-endorsed candidate, is clearly the most qualified candidate for the position of Saratoga County sheriff, and we urge all registered Republicans to vote for Mike in the primary on Sept. 10.
The letter was signed by 13 members of the department.
GOP needs fresh ideas and goals, elect Arrigo and Gerber
I met a young man, Robert Arrigo, who is running for Republican State Committee in the Saratoga County portion of the 113 Assembly District.
I have to say that I was very impressed. He offers a compelling vision for the New York state Republican Party, including a platform that follows the Constitution and seeks to limit the size and scope of government.
I will be voting for Arrigo and his running mate, Elaine Gerber, because they understand that the Republican Party is supposed to stand on principle.
