Saratoga Hospital on Monday opened its new Saratoga Community Health Center for low- and moderate-income residents on Hamilton Street.
The center at 24 Hamilton St. was paid for with a $3 million fund-raising campaign.
The Community Health Center will serve patients regardless of their ability to pay, and will help those without health insurance apply for free and low-cost coverage, hospital officials said.
The medical team at the center includes Dr. Renee Rodriguez-Goodemote, medical director; and Dr. Alexander Cardiel; dentist Dr, Sarah Fox; Dr. Sophia Anna Monsour, psychiatry.
“This center has enormous potential to change patients’ lives for the better,” Rodriguez-Goodemote said. “For many, the Community Health Center offers the first opportunity to have a relationship with a primary care provider and to reap the long-term benefits of routine, preventive care.”
The Community Health Center is open 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Fridays. Appointments are required and may be made by calling 886-5600.
