A Schenectady man suspected of supplying Saratoga Springs with cocaine and crack was arrested on Wednesday by a joint task force following a traffic stop.
Michael L. Parker, 28, of Ninth Street, who is known to the city’s narcotic units and is a focus of ongoing drug investigations, was arrested Wednesday night following a traffic stop on Lincoln Avenue. He was arrested on three counts of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, a B felony, three counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a B felony, one count of fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a C felony, and possession of marijuana, a violation.
The arrest was made by the city’s narcotics unit and criminal investigation unit and the state police’s Community Narcotics Enforcement Team.
Police believe that Parker brought the drugs to Saratoga Springs from Schenectady. He was arraigned in city court and sent to county jail in lieu of $20,000 cash bail or $40,000 bond.
