Matt Taft and Oliver Robinson both ran for two touchdowns to lead Shenendehowa past CBA, 35-21, Saturday night in a Class AA Empire Division football game.

Jeremiah Smith added a touchdown run to Taft’s two scores and one of Robinson’s as the Plainsmen took a 28-7 lead at the half.

Williams was 10-for-13 for 297 yards passing. Columbia’s Connor Kinselmann picked up 195 yards on 33 carries, and scored all four Columbia touchdowns.

Rich Martino and James Sackett scored first-half goals as host Schoharie beat Duanesburg, 2-1, in the opening round of the Kyle Sharpe Tournament.

Chris Small scored the Duanesburg goal.

Scott Everson and Ryan Dingman produced the goals that gave 4-1 Broadalbin-Perth a 2-0 win over Coxsackie-Athens in a non-league game.

Vince Greco struck for three goals, and Tyler Johnston added one, as Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk topped Cobleskill-Richmondville, 4-0, in a Colonial Council contest.

Drew Phillips and Cole Webster both had the goals as Hoosick Falls stopped Tamarac, 4-1, in the Wasaren League.

Morgan Loder finished with seven goals as Cobleskill-Richmondville blanked Holy Names, 8-0, in a Colonial Council girls’ game.

Kaitlyn Kendle scored a goal and assisted on the other three Schoharie put away, as the hosts topped Duanesburg. 4-0, in the first round of the Kyle Sharpe Tourn-ament.

McKenzie Phelan, Seana Cleveland and Carolyn Krohn had the other Schoharie goals.

Lexi Romeyn, Rylie Smith and Sklyer Viveros all had a pair of goals as Oppenheim-Ephratah-St. Johnsville beat Unatego, 8-4, in the other opening round game.

Stillwater got a goal from Alexis Lockrow, and Tamarac matched it thanks to Mackenzie Flaherty as the teams played to a 1-1 draw in the Wasaren League.

Ashley Lefebvre notched three goals as Waterford-Halfmoon edged Bolton, 4-3, in a non-league game.

Erica Chase fired in four goals as Galway beat the hosts, 7-0, in the Mayfield Tournament.

Justin Van Epps of CBA won the boys’ large school race at the Fort Plain Invitational, covering the three-mile course in 15:19.53, 30 second ahead of his nearest competition.

Jonathon Feil and Matt Pasquali finished 9-10 to help Guilderland to second in the team competition.

Pat Murphy and Xavier McKinley went 5-6 to help Duanesburg to a second-place finish in the small school division.

Emily Burns ran second and Jenna Robinson placed third, leading Guilderland to a second-place showing in the girls’ large school race.

Kacie Hunter and Kimberly Geniti were fifth and sixth, respectively, for Fonda-Fultonville in the girls’ small school run.

Tournament MVP Cassidy Warnke helped Cambridge win the Bulldog Blast at Berne-Knox-Westerlo.

The hosts went 7-1 in pool play, but Cambridge beat them in the final, 25-15, 23-25, 25-16.
