Girls' soccer: Lady Dutch knock off Shenendehowa

Emily Center converted a penalty kick early in the second half, and Guilderland handed Shenendehowa its first loss of the season, 1-0, in the Suburban Council.

The Lady Dutch (10-1-0) are the first team in the SC to win 10 games this season. Shenendehowa dropped to 8-1-1.

Meghan Doyle scored a goal and set up scores by Mimi Curro and Rachel Walsh as Niskayuna beat Columbia, 4-0.

Walsh finished with a pair of goals for the 9-2-0 Lady Warriors.

Ellery Blanco had two goals and an assist, and Cassidy Driscoll contributed a goal and three assists as Saratoga topped Colonie, 6-1.

Kaleigh Fowler’s PK conversion ruined Carley Slade’s shutout.

Caitlin O’Shea scored in the second OT to pull Averill Park into a 2-2 draw with Shaker. River Ward had the other AP goal. Kate Essepian had both Shaker goals.

Abby O’Connor’s three goals lifted Scotia-Glenville past Glens Falls, 5-0, in the Foothills Council. Dom Puglisi and Kelsey Martin had the other goals for the 6-3-0 Lady Tartans.

Sophomore Brittany LaPlant ran her season total to 38 goals and her career total to 112, scoring twice in Queensbury’s 3-0 victory over Johnstown. LaPlant has scored in every game for the 9-0-0 FC leader.

Lauren Vetter’s three goals highlighted a South Glens Falls win over Hudson Falls, 11-0.

Eighth-grader Molly Older scored two goals, and four teammates added a goal apiece as unbeaten Schalmont blanked Cohoes, 6-0. Emily Culbert, Hailee Metzold, Rachel Pratt and Rachel Strijek all added a goal for the Lady Tartans.

Gabby Guzman, Talia Rockmore and Valerie Taylor all had a goal and assist as Albany Academy (8-2-0) defeated Mechanicville, 3-1. Mackenzie Bowie scored for Mechanicville.

Katie Palermo’s two first-half scored led Lansingburgh past Watervliet, 4-0. Kate Barker and Caitlyn Maloney had the other two goals for Lansingburgh.

Hannah Loder and Nina Pento had first-half goals, and Holy Names nipped Fonda-Fultonville, 2-1, in the Colonial. Cassandra Egelston scored for Fonda.

Morgan Loder scored both goals as Cobleskill-Richmondville blanked Ichabod Crane, 2-0.

Chelsea Duncan had both goals as Voorheesville downed Ravena, 2-0.

Marissa McCarthy had two goals as Schuylerville topped Cambridge, 6-0, in the Wasaren League. Gab­rielle Capobianco turned in a four-goal game.

MacKenzie Hinchcliffe scored three times and set up three other goals as Hoosick Falls topped Granville, 10-0, in the Wasaren.

Sydney Fitzpatrick, Danielle Stannard and Brittany Whitford had the goals as Hoosic Valley stopped Greenwich, 3-0.
