Police charged an Amsterdam woman with petty larceny at the Dollar General store Thursday before arresting a Fulton County man accompanying her on a drug charge.
Michael D. McDonald, 28, of 52 First Ave., Gloversville, was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance after officers found 3.7 grams of cocaine on him, according to the Gloversville Police Department. He also was charged with misdemeanor false personation for allegedly giving police a false name when they initially questioned him.
With McDonald was Rosemarie J. Ross, 25, of 221 State Route 67 in Amsterdam, who was charged with petty larceny for allegedly trying to steal merchandise.
McDonald was arraigned in Gloversville City Court and sent to the Fulton County Jail in lieu of $15,000 cash bail or $30,000 bond.
Ross was issued an appearance ticket.
