High school football: Henry, Eglintine lead Streaks to 33-6 win

Dakota Henry and Jake Eglintine each scored twice to help Saratoga Springs slam arch-rival Shenendeh

SARATOGA SPRINGS — Dakota Henry and Jake Eglintine each scored twice to help Saratoga Springs slam arch-rival Shenendehowa, 33-6, in a key Class AA Empire Division game Friday night.

The Blue Streaks improved to 4-1 in the division and 5-1 overall, while Shen slides to 3-2 and 4-2.

Harvey scored on a seven-yard run in the opening quarter and tacked on a 60-yard run in the third.

Eglintine broke loose for a 52-yard run in the second period and a one-yard plunge in the fourth.

Jordan Wilcox also scored for Saratoga on a two-yard carry.

Shenendehowa got a one-yard scoring run from Antonio Rossi.

ALBANY — Joe Kolbe threw a pair of touchdown passes to Elliott Croskey, and the Brothers sacked Guilderland quarterback Frank Gallo seven times in the first half.

CBA is now 5-1 in the Empire Division and 5-1 overall, while Guilderland slides to 4-1 and 5-1.

Gallo hit Jacob Smith with a 34-yard TD pass for the only Guilderland score.

BALLSTON SPA 48, NISKAYUNA 7

NISKAYUNA — Luke Kavan­augh ran for 87 yards and scored twice to spark the Scotties (1-5) to their first win of the season for new head coach David Murello, over 0-6 Niskayuna.

Shane Winkel, Sam Groves, Kiernan Mack and Taylor Kelsey rushed for touchdowns, and Derrick Kolberg returned a fumble 34 yards for another Ballston Spa score.

Aidan O’Brien scored for the Silver Warriors.

Jake Quay, Sean Egan, Jason Natale and Michael Tanu each scored rushing touchdowns for the 4-0, 5-1 Blue Bison.

Schenectady’s lone score was an 86-yard run by Hassan Rainey. The Patriots slipped to 2-2 and 3-3.

Bethlehem improves to 2-4 and 2-4. The Falcons fall to 0-4 and 1-5.

Vincenco Ferrara returned a fumble for a touchdown, and Ben Zonka scored on a five-yard run for the Eagles.

Tysheem Morris ran for an 82-yard touchdown, caught a 31-yard TD pass from Chris Wolcott and threw a 57-yard TD strike to Jeffrey Gritsavage to lead the Falcons.

Devon Edwards ran for a score, and Chris West caught a TD pass from Will McCann for the Garnet Raiders.

LaSalle got two touchdowns from Dylan Thompson.

Maurice Jones, Alex Little, Shanz Lewis and Elijah Bethel also scored for the Flying Horses.

Averill Park was led by Chris Arnold (nine-yard run) and Logan Fahrenkopf (65-yard TD pass from Arnold).

Nick DeNicola added a one-yard TD run for 1-1, 2-4 Mohonasen. Richardson caught TD passes of 85, 62 and 31 yards.

Bishop Maginn (0-3, 1-5) was paced by Jaushiir Weaver with a nine-yard run and a 35-yard fumble recovery. Ky’Ere Tillery added a two-yard TD run.

Rensselaer got a rushing and passing touchdown from Jake Forgea. Brandon Butler caught three passes for 131 yards and two scores.
