Boys’ soccer: Falcons best in north

Will Wilson scored a goal and assisted on two as Northville topped Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville, 3-0, and completed an unbeaten run through the Western Athletic Conference North Division.

Tyler Henderson and Brandon Blowers also scored for the Falcons (11-0-3, 12-1-3), Dave Onzo set up Wilson’s goal, and Tim Monette made three saves for the shutout.

Maclin Norray, Lukas Becker and Jimmy McGill provided the goals as Berne-Knox-Westerlo beat Middleburgh, 3-0, and ran its WAC South Division record to 11-1-1.

Travis Fairlee picked up an assist for the Bulldogs (11-2-1 overall), and Trevor Haack made five saves for his seventh shutout.

Todd Briggs converted a pass from Riley Yager in the 66th minute, and Mayfield held on for a 1-0 victory over Canajoharie.

Lucas VanNostrand made three saves for Mayfield.

Galway and Saratoga Catholic played to a 2-2 tie.

Zach Hartman and Conor Bradshaw scored the Galway goals, both assisted by Hunter Roy. Michael Naughton and Liam Rice scored for the Saints.

Chris Goodemote had a goal and two assists, and Queensbury (11-1-1, 13-1-1) maintained its lead in the Foothills Council with an 8-0 win over Hudson Falls.

Jimmy Doty, Preston Hendrick, Alliston McFarlane, Jon Meacham, Cole Crotty and Allistaine McFarlane also scored for the Spartans.

Don Clune scored early in the first half and Kettrick Bailey added an insurance goal to lift Scotia-Glenville past Gloversville, 2-0.

Dean Gazzelli scored on a header 20 minutes into the second half, and Travis Rose made seven saves as Stillwater (8-2-1, 12-2-1) dealt Hoosick Falls (8-1-2, 10-3-2) its first Wasaren League loss, 1-0.

Ian Cepiel assisted on the goal.
