A truck driver was accused Saturday morning of driving with a blood-alcohol content nearly five times the legal limit for operating a commercial vehicle.
State police responded to the Price Chopper Plaza about 11 a.m. after receiving a call that the driver of a Coca Cola tractor-trailer appeared to be intoxicated. The driver, John P. Guillaume, 55, of Schenectady, was interviewed and arrested, police said.
Police said Guillaume had a blood-alcohol content of 0.19 percent. The legal limit to operate a commercial vehicle is 0.04 percent, and it is a felony to operate a commercial vehicle with a level of more than 0.18 percent.
Guillaume was charged with aggravated felony driving while intoxicated, arraigned in Stillwater Town Court and sent to the Saratoga County jail after failing to post bail.
