Three Washington County residents already accused of stealing baby formula from a Price Chopper supermarket in Clifton Park now face similar charges in Saratoga Springs.
City police said Geoffrey M. Pickering, 23, of Hudson Falls, and Brett DiSanto, 23, and Daisy Jessica Ripley, 22, both of Argyle, stole more than $1,600 worth of Enfamil baby formula over seven different incidents at Price Chopper stores on Ballston Avenue and Railroad Avenue.
Police said they were able to link the three to the Saratoga Springs thefts after they were arrested Oct. 22 in the Clifton Park thefts. Four of the thefts were reported at the Ballston Avenue store, with the remaining three at the Railroad Avenue supermarket. None of the missing formula has been recovered, police said.
Each faces seven counts of petty larceny, a Class A misdemeanor. DiSanto was also charged with seven counts of felony third degree burglary, police said, because he had been previoously barred from all Price Chopper stores.
All three were arraigned in City Court and sent to the Saratoga County jail in lieu of bail. Additional charges may be pending, police said.
