Kiff joins staff at medical school, hospital PICU
ALBANY — Dr. Jane E. Kiff has joined the Children’s Hospital at Albany Medical Center, treating critically ill and injured children in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.
She has also been named associate professor of pediatrics at Albany Medical College.
She comes to Albany Med from Hasbro Children’s Hospital in Providence, R.I.
Kiff has a special interest in pediatric septic shock. A member of Society of Critical Care Medicine’s septic shock guideline committee, she has been honored by the society with a presidential citation.
Kiff has published numerous journal articles on pediatric critical care topics and is a member of the American Medical Association and the American Academy of Pediatrics, as well as the SCCM.
Board-certified in pediatrics and pediatric critical-care medicine, Kiff received her fellowship training at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. She served her residency at Stanford University. She earned her medical degree from the University of Missouri.
A native of Attleboro, Mass., Kiff lives in Albany.
Cronin hired by Saratoga Hospital
SARATOGA SPRINGS — Laurie Cronin has joined Saratoga Hospital as director of pharmacy.
Cronin has an extensive background in health-care pharmacy system management. Prior to joining Saratoga Hospital, Cronin was the director of pharmacy for Oneida Healthcare in Oneida and director of pharmacy for Bassett Hospital of Schoharie County in Cobleskill.
She earned bachelor’s and doctor of pharmacy degrees from Albany College of Pharmacy of Union University. She also possesses a professional certification in geriatric pharmacy.
