The Empire State Plaza Ice Rink, originally scheduled to open today, won’t open for another week due to unfavorable weather conditions, officials said.

The rink is now set to open at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, with free skate rentals for opening day, courtesy of Hannaford Supermarkets.

The learn-to-skate clinic scheduled for Nov. 30 also has been canceled. Those registered for that class are encouraged to register for clinics being held later in the season, presented by BlueShield of Northeastern New York.

Up-to-date information on winter events at the plaza can be found at www.empirestateplaza.org.
