Saratoga Springs had four wrestlers finish with perfect records Saturday in winnning the Cohoes Tige

Saratoga Springs had four wrestlers finish with perfect records Saturday in winnning the Cohoes Tiger Duals for the second straight year.

Tom Cornell, Dominic Inzana, Gustavo Loarca and Matt Holton all picked up seven wins in the event, which began Friday with a pair of matches and finished Saturday with five duals.

Inzana registered four pins, as did Drew Griskowitz, who went 6-1.

Richard Schrade also went 6-1, all of his wins by fall. Tristan Biviano also went 6-1 for the Blue Streaks.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY

DUALS

Section III’s Fulton went 5-0 to win the team title over a field that included host Amsterdam, Galway, Ballston Spa, Fonda-Fultonville and Middletown.

The Rams placed second at 3-2, losing to Middletown and Fulton. Ballston Spa and Galway went 2-3, and Fonda was 0-5.

State placer Brandon Lapi and heavyweight Dom Santiago both went 5-0, and John Rivera finished 4-0 for the day.

Lapi had two pins, and Santiago and Rivera both pinned three opponents.

Marcus Torres and Chris Garrison also finished 4-1 for Amsterdam.

Ballston Spa’s Corey LeQue and Garreck Golish had 4-1 days, with LeQue pinning three times.

Steven Culbert, Dillon Palas­zewski and Jordan Sartin all went 4-1 for Galway. Culbert pinned three times, and Sartin had two pins and a technical fall.

Zak Shaw had a perfect 5-0 day for Fonda.

LEE VAN SLYKE MEMORIAL DUALS

Host Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake won unbeaten in five matches on its own mats.

State bronze medalist Joey Butler, Nate Sisler, Jake Ashcraft, Anthony Papa, Roz Warren and Artem Smith all got five wins as the Spartans beat Lansingburgh (61-12), Saugerties (48-30), Cairo-Durham (77-5), Bainbridge-Guilford/Afton (57-24) and Noble, Maine (58-27).

Butler had three pins and two forfeit wins; Sisler had three pins and a pair of wins; Ashcraft pinned his first four opponents; Papa had three pins and two forfeit wins; and both Warren and Smith pinned twice.

Christian Gramuglia and Nico Fragale both were 4-1, and Abdellah Campbell added four wins for the Spartans.

VALLEY DUALS

Columbia won the team title, running the table with wins over Sidney (72-15), host Cobleskill-Richmondville (50-27), Johnstown (80-6), Mohonasen and Schuylerville.

The host Bulldogs beat Mohon­asen, 53-27, in the final round, taking second place on the tiebreaker after both went 3-2.

Schuylerville was fourth, also 3-2. Johnstown was 0-5.

CANAJOHARIE/FORT PLAIN DUALS

Hadley-Luzerne/Lake George swept all five matches to win the team title, beating second-place Watervliet, 55-26.

The hosts were 3-2, beating Berne-Knox-Westerlo (43-42 on criteria), Catskill (51-36) and Green Tech (60-18), and dropping matches to the champion (57-28) and runner-up (55-29).

RENO TOC

Joe Clemente had the most success of the three LaSalle wrestlers who participated in this tourney, which drew athletes from over 90 schools.

Clemente went 4-2 at 145 pounds, with a pin, a tech fall and a major decision.

Max Tempel was 2-2 at 120, and Ryan Moore went 1-2 at 138.
