High school hockey: Streaks, Plainsmen win

Saratoga Springs and Shenendehowa, who played to a tie earlier in the week in a big Capital District

Saratoga Springs and Shenendehowa, who played to a tie earlier in the week in a big Capital District High School Hockey League game, both got wins Saturday.

J.T. Rafferty scored a pair of goals to help the Blue Streaks beat Rome Free Academy, 5-3, in a non-league contest.

Ryan Mortka had two goals and a pair of assists as Shenendehowa beat LaSalle, 6-1, in a league game.

Chris O’Keefe turned in a hat trick as Christian Brothers Academy won the consolation game of the CBA Brothers’ Cup, 12-0, over Mount St. Michael’s.

Dakota Naylor had two goals and two assists in the win. Both David Zaccaria and Reid Herrington had a goal and two assists for the 2-2 Brothers.

R.J. Matos scored the Brothers’ lone goal Friday in a 6-1 semifinal setback to Canisius. Kyle Stockman made 57 saves in that one, but was not called on to make a save Saturday.
