Albany Med staffer gains certification
ALBANY — Albany Medical Center clinical neuropsychologist Anne Barba, Ph.D., has been awarded board certification by the American Board of Professional Psychology, signifying exceptional proficiency in her field.
She is one of just 16 board-certified neuropsychologists in New York sate practicing outside of the New York City metropolitan area.
Barba cares for patients with neurological disorders and conducts specialized tests needed to manage Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, epilepsy and other conditions that affect the brain. She conducts cognitive evaluations used to determine a patient’s ability to live independently and manage medications appropriately.
Named a Woman of Excellence by the Albany-Colonie Regional Chamber of Commerce in 2011, Barba is an associate professor of neurology at Albany Medical College. She received her Ph.D. in psychology and completed her pre-doctoral internship at the Washington VA Medical Center and her post-doctoral fellowship in clinical neuropsychology at Albany Medical Center.
PR firm adds two employees
ALBANY — Baker Public Relations has added two account coordinators, Stephanie Montgomery and Carlee Bryda.
Montgomery and Bryda provide daily support to the Baker Public Relations senior team and client accounts and prepare and implement PR program components.
Prior to joining Baker, Montgomery worked for Logic Technology, a technology consulting firm in Schenectady. Her responsibilities included internal communications, marketing, event planning and human resources.
Montgomery earned her bachelor’s degree in communications and business from the University at Albany.
Montgomery is currently enrolled in the College of Saint Rose’s communications graduate program. She will join Baker full-time upon graduation in May 2014. She lives in Albany.
Bryda earned her associate degree in broadcast journalism from Hudson Valley Community College and is currently completing her bachelor’s degree in communications and public relations at the College of Saint Rose. Bryda worked as a news intern at CBS6 and served as the announcer for the American Cancer Society’s Albany-Colonie Relay for Life in 2013.
Bryda lives in Niskayuna.
