The Daily Gazette’s time machine is humming and throwing sparks for 2013 today.
And a New Year’s custom continues — staffers from the newspaper’s history department offer encores of favorite photos published in this year’s collection of Capital Region Scrapbook.
People in odd hats and old-fashioned bathing suits have made the team. We’ve also dusted off photos of people looking for bargains in West Glenville and winning horses at Saratoga Race Course.
Teenagers from the Class of 1963 — from Linton, Mont Pleasant and Niskayuna high schools — have received curtain calls. So have people photographed having fun during summer and winter.
Next week, the Scrapbook’s time machine changes its image controls and power settings to 2014 and will offer more photos of people and places from the newspaper’s collection and readers’ scrapbooks.
If you have photos — moments preserved from the infinite corridors of time — and would like them considered for future history features, contact Gazette reporter Jeff Wilkin at 395-3124 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
