More 350 dance performances, talks, tours, exhibits, films, classes and community events are on tap for the 2014 season of Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival, set for June 14-Aug.24.
More than 50 dance companies from around the world will perform on the three stages at the Pillow campus for the 82nd annual festival.
The season includes well-known companies, including Mark Morris Dance Group, Pacific Northwest Ballet and the Dance Theatre of Harlem, as well as performers less familiar to U.S. audiences, several world premieres and choreographers from around the world.
The season begins with the Gala on June 14, featuring dance by famed Horton and Ailey luminary Carmen de Lavallade, as well as performances by members of The Hong Kong Ballet and a world premiere created by choreographer Jessica Lang for ballet students of The School at Jacob’s Pillow.
