Boys' basketball: Crusaders stay perfect, 69-65

Raiquis Harris scored 18 points, and Catholic Central battled back in the second half to take down Christian Brothers Academy, 69-65, in a Big 10 game Tuesday night.

Catholic Central remained unbeaten, overcoming a 32-21 halftime deficit to run its league record to 6-0 and overall mark to 7-0.

Jiriem Tedders scored a season-high 15 points for the Crusaders and Anthony Mack also had 15. Greig Stire, a McDonald’s All-American nominee, amassed a career-best 41 points for the Brothers (5-2, 6-3).

Schenectady (5-3, 6-4) won for the fourth time in five games, with Randall Symes scoring 15 points in a 54-52 victory at LaSalle.

Tobias Harris had 12 points for Schenectady, and Brandon Lang­ston matched his season best with 11. Brandon Holmes sparked the Cadets with 16 points, and Ryan Bielawa contributed 14.

Brendan Maloney scored 23 points for Notre Dame-Bishop Gibbons in a 56-41 loss to Bishop Maginn. Jacorey Nixon led the Golden Griffins with 16.

Justice Walston scored 22 points, and Dyaire Holt and Zach Radz both had 21 as Troy defeated Albany, 82-72.

Andrew Platek scored 21 points, and Guilderland remained unbeaten (6-0, 7-0) with a 65-51 win over Ballston Spa.

Vin Simeone notched 15 points for the Dutchmen, and Marc duMoulin had 12. Cliff Stevens paced the Scotties with 15 points.

Malik Dare worked inside for 27 points, and Andrew Holmes fired in 20 as Shaker outlasted Columbia, 74-71.

Tyler Hoffman added 11 points for the Blue Bison. Jahlil Nails piled up 28 points for the Blue Devils, knocking down six threes, and Elijah Lott had 22 points.

Logan Fahrenkopf scored 16 points, going 9-for-13 from the line, and Myles Joyce had 10 as Averill Park avoided an upset bid by Niskayuna with a 44-43 win.

Aaron Gordon sparked the Silver Warriors with 18 points.

Noah Arciero scored all of his 13 points in the second half, and Chris Byno scored seven of his 15 in the fourth quarter to help Saratoga Springs defeat Bethlehem, 57-48.

Connor Morelli had 26 points for the Eagles, who hurt themselves with an 8-for-23 effort from the foul line.

Ryan Nicholson led four double-digit Colonie scores with 16 points, and the Garnet Raiders used a 25-9 third-quarter flurry to knock off Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake, 74-58.

Josh Jablonowski led the Spartans with 14 points, John Clayton scored 12 and Austin Nydegger added 11.

Shenendehowa rattled off the game’s first 20 points in a 48-35 triumph over Mohonasen.

Kevin Huerter led the Plainsmen (5-1, 5-2) with 14 points, Tom Huerter added 10 and Drew Lewis had five of his nine after Mohonasen got within nine in the final quarter. Jeff Hicks scored 12 points for Mohonasen and Donye Walker had 11.

Will Turner delivered 22 points including 10 free throws, Cam Ives netted 14 and Fonda-Fultonville limited Mechanicville to two in the first quarter en route to a 52-44 Colonial Council win.

Logan Polsinello and Nico Dumas led the Red Raiders with 13 and 12 points, respectively.

Noah Crawford pumped in 25 points, Logan Hotaling and Dylan Hensel joined for 24 and Voorheesville (4-1, 6-1) held off Lansingburgh and Darnell Sutton, 64-60.

Sutton scored 23 of his 34 points in the second half.

Scotia-Glenville went on a 34-14 run during the second and third quarters and beat Gloversville in Foothills Council action, 60-39, to stretch its record to 9-0.

Joe Cremo scored 27 points for the Tartans (5-0 league), Alex Sausville netted 15 and Dom LeMorta had 10. Barceem Dukes led the Dragons with 13 points and 11 rebounds, and Asa Barnhill had 12 points.

Broadalbin-Perth overcame a one-point third quarter to beat Johnstown, 43-39. Andre Taylor and Ryan Dingman scored 11 points apiece for the Patriots. Austin Riska topped the Sir Bills with 15.

Mike Pierre scored 29 points, John Rooney scored 17 and J.T. Sawyer had 15 as Wasaren League leader Hoosic Valley (6-0, 9-1) defeated Schuylerville, 74-57.

Jonny Dariano scored 18 points, and Loudonville Christian used a strong first half to beat Bolton, 44-30, in a non-league game.
