Girls’ basketball: Hudson Falls hands Scotia first loss

Tanner Barton scored 21 points, and Hudson Falls shut down Scotia-Glenville over the final three quarters to hand the Lady Tartans their first loss of the season, 45-41, in the Foothills Council.

Scotia took a 16-4 lead after one quarter, but managed just 25 points the rest of the game.

Nicole Conley scored 16 points, and Carlie McNulty added 10 for Scotia.

Leah Dollard scored 14 points and Mylah Chandler added 13 as Albany remained unbeaten in the Big 10 with a 61-50 victory over Catholic Central. Madison Purcell scored 24 points for the Lady Crusaders.
