Remember snow pants? Remember giant snowmen? Remember snow?

So far, January has not been a formidable winter month. One snowy day just after New Year’s, a few cold days and a few rainy days have been the weather highlights.

Just so people can see all the recreation they’re missing — the merry mirth that comes with deep white ground cover — Scrapbook is publishing winter photos from the 1950s. We’ve got young people building snowmen, pulling sleds and cruising snow banks on cross-country skis.

And just as a reminder that it’s not all fun and games, we’ve got a snow-covered car that includes a message: We’ve still got about two months worth of winter to go.
