A Saratoga Springs man will spend 1-1/2 to three years in prison in connection with a robbery last year and an assault in the county jail.
Robert C. Weatherly, 29, of Walworth Street, was sentenced by Saratoga County Court Judge Jerry J. Scarano on Friday, following earlier guilty pleas to third-degree attempted robbery and attempted second-degree assault.
Weatherly was accused of stealing property from his ex-girlfriend March 9, 2013, in an attempt to force her to go somewhere with him, police said at the time. That led to his initial arrest, and his being held in the county jail.
On July 25, he was charged with second-degree assault, for allegedly punching another inmate, the Sheriff’s Office said.
—Willie E. Speed, 45, of Bluff Avenue, Schenectady, was sentenced to one to three years in prison after pleading guilty to felony driving while intoxicated. He was arrested June 12 in Ballston Spa.
—Karl W. Kimball, 47, of Atomic Project Road, Milton, was sentenced to one year in jail on an earlier guilty plea to first-degree sexual abuse in connection with incidents in 2012 and 2013 in Milton.
