Two men were sentenced to prison during appearances in Saratoga County Court on Wednesday, while four others were indicted by a grand jury.

Keith D. Drew, 18, of Foxwood Drive, Clifton Park, was sentenced to four years in prison to be followed by 10 years of post-release supervision on a previous guilty plea to attempted first-degree rape.

In an unrelated case, County Court Judge Jerry J. Scarano sentenced Christopher P. Desroches, 37, of Meyer Road, Clifton Park, to two to four years in prison for violating his interim probation on a burglary conviction.

Desroches pleaded guilty to third-degree burglary last June and was placed on probation pending completion of treatment through drug court. He was sentenced to prison after acknowledging violating his drug court conditions.

In the four indictments handed up Wednesday:

•John L. Zippo, 44, of Maple Avenue, Saratoga Springs, was indicted on a charge of second-degree assault. He is accused of fighting with another inmate at the county jail last June 12, sending the man to the hospital. Zippo was being held at the time on a robbery charge.

• Thomas J. Dingmon, 22, of Loudon Road, Wilton, was indicted on charges of third-degree burglary and third-degree criminal mischief. He was arrested by Saratoga Springs police last May.

• Edwin F. Shelley, 48, of Saratoga Avenue, Ballston Spa, was indicted on three felony and four misdemeanor charges stemming from alleged drunk driving in Ballston Spa last Nov. 28. Shelley faces felony charges of driving while intoxicated and aggravated unlicensed operation as well as misdemeanor charges of circumventing an ignition interlock device and aggravated unlicensed operation.

• Matthew L. Eberlein, 45, of Ruggles Road, Wilton, was indicted on a felony DWI count. He was arrested last April 15 in Saratoga Springs.

All four will be arraigned within the next week, according to District Attorney James A. Murphy’s office.
