Integra hires Madden, Traiforos

LATHAM — Integra Networks Inc., a fiber-optic equipment manufacturer, has named Melanie Madden as international business manager to support the company’s accelerating global growth.

In her new position, Madden will be responsible for developing and executing Integra’s international expansion. This will include securing sales partners and preparing products for export, while ensuring the company is compliant with export regulations.

Madden joins the company from JR Sports Enterprises, where she was director of marketing and public relations. She previously served as quality manager at the Spanish manufacturer SEPSA North America, where she was a bilingual sales and marketing specialist. Prior to that, she served in the public sector as a high school Spanish teacher at two school districts in the Capital Region.

A resident of Schenectady, Madden holds a bachelor’s degree in history and Spanish from the University at Albany, a master’s in teaching from Union Graduate College, and an MBA from the University at Albany.

Integra also hired Louis Traiforos as director of channel sales to reinforce the company’s global growth strategy.

In his new role, Traiforos will be responsible for all business that involves distribution, enterprise and reseller sales, both domestic and international. He will lead a team of account executives responsible for developing relationships and contracting with channel distribution clients and partners.

He joins the company from IHS Globalspec, where he was vice president of sales and strategic accounts.

A native of Chicago, Traiforos attended the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. He lives in Schoharie.
