A public information meeting will be held Wednesday, Feb. 12 to discuss Global Companies’ request to install seven boilers at the Port of Albany.
The state Department of Environmental Conservation will host the meeting, which will be held at the Giffen Memorial Elementary School Auditorium at 274 South Pearl St. in Albany.
Officials from the DEC and Global Companies will be at the meeting to answer questions about the facility and the permit application. Also on hand will be representatives from the state Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Services.
The public meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. and run until about 9 p.m. A presentation by the DEC will be provided at 6:30 p.m. to review procedures and policies in regulating the port facility.
