A Montgomery County man is facing felony drug charges for allegedly carrying less than ounce of crack cocaine north into Fulton County.

Ernest McMikle, 27, was driving on Route 30 in the town of Perth Tuesday when he was pulled over by state police troopers for a few vehicle and traffic infractions.

Troopers asked McMikle about the distinct marijuana smell coming from his vehicle. He handed over a small amount of marijuana, which prompted further investigation and the location of approximately 18.5 grams of crack cocaine.

McMikle was arrested and remanded to Fulton County jail. He is charged with third degree possession of a controlled substance, a felony, unlawful possession of marijuana and various vehicle and traffic infractions.
