A total of 18 people have been arrested, accused of illegally receiving $3,000 or more in unemployme

A total of 18 people have been arrested, accused of illegally receiving $3,000 or more in unemployment benefits, state police said today.

One woman is accused of illegally receiving more than $22,000 in unemployment benefits.

The individuals were arrested in recent weeks after investigations by the state police Bureau of Criminal Investigation and state Department of Labor.

Those charged are accused of receiving benefits while they were actually working, police said.

Each of the 18 was charged with third-degree grand larceny, falsifying business records and offering a false instrument for filing, felonies.

Those charged and the amounts they are accused of illegally receiving:
