Schenectady man arrested for dine-and-dash

A state employee from Schenectady has been arrested, accused of dining and dashing from a Capital re

ALBANY — A state employee from Schenectady has been arrested, accused of dining and dashing from a Capital restaurant, state police said today.

Dean B. Briggs, 61, of Schenectady, faces one count of misdemeanor petty larceny.

Briggs is accused of failing to pay for his lunch at Mazzone’s Prime on the Plaza Restaurant. Police did not specify the date of the incident, but announced the arrest today. Briggs was identified as an employee with the state Department of Health.

Briggs was released on an appearance ticket. He is due back in Albany City Court next week.
