As the snow piles up, more municipalities are declaring snow emergencies, and other are automatically going into effect because the storm has hit 3 inches.

During the emergency, you’ll have to be careful where you park or you’ll get towed.

The most recent announcements are:

The village of Scotia has banned parking on the roads from 4 p.m. today through noon Friday.

In Schenectady, officials are not declaring a snow emergency, as is their tradition. But parking is now banned on priority streets so that plows can clear them.

Other snow emergencies have already been declared in Amsterdam, Cohoes, East Greenbush, Mechanicville, Ravena, Rensselaer, Mechanicville, Saratoga Springs (starting at 9 p.m.) and Stillwater.
