Occupants of three cars ended up in the hospital today after one of the cars apparently ran a red-light in the town of Wilton this morning.
State police say the three-car crash occurred around 10:45 a.m. at the intersection of Route 9 and Ballard Road. A preliminary investigation revealed that a vehicle traveling west on Ballard Road may have failed to yield the right of way and driven through a red light, causing a collision with a vehicle traveling north and a vehicle traveling south through the intersection.
All occupants were taken to Saratoga Hospital, Glens Falls Hospital and Albany Medical Center depending on their injuries, which police said were not serious or life threatening.
The crash shut down the road in all directions for about an hour. Helping at the scene were the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Department, Wilton Fire, Wilton EMS, Moreau EMS, Malta EMS and General Schuyler EMS.
