A woman is accused of threatening someone with a knife and then trying to hide the knife from police

A woman is accused of threatening someone with a knife and then trying to hide the knife from police, authorities said.

Chitranie Itwarn, 19, of Haigh Avenue, was accused of sitting in a car while holding a steak knife in a threatening manner Feb. 11 at the Price Chopper on Eastern Avenue, according to papers filed in court. She is then accused of throwing the knife into a snow bank to hide it from officers.

Itwarn faces one count of tampering with physical evidence, a felony. She also faces misdemeanor counts of fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and second-degree menacing.
