Schenectady man struck by car, in critical condition

A Schenectady man is in critical condition after being struck by a car Thursday night, police said.

A Schenectady man is in critical condition after being struck by a car Thursday night, police said.

Leslie Cade, 45, of Albany Street, was hit at about 9:45 p.m. at the corner of Albany Street and Brandywine Avenue.

The driver, whose name was not immediately released, was attempting a turn from Albany to Brandywine when the pedestrian was struck, police said.

Cade was in the crosswalk when he was hit, police said.

Cade was treated at the scene by members of the Schenectady Fire Department ant taken to Albany Medical Center for treatment of head trauma. He was listed this morning in critical condition, police said.

No tickets have been issued. The investigation is continuing.

There was no indication of alcohol involvement or distracted driving, police said.
