LAKE PLACID — Eleven returning athletes from the Sochi Winter Olympics who train in the Adirondack Mountains are to be honored with a parade in Lake Placid.

The parade down Main Street is Sunday evening at six and begins at the speed skating oval next to the Olympic Center.

Afterward, four who won medals will deliver speeches at The Cottage Café. That will be followed by the lighting of the Olympic cauldron and a fireworks display over Mirror Lake.

The four medal-winners are: Andrew Weibrecht, who won silver in alpine skiing; Erin Hamlin, bronze medalist in women's luge; and bobsledders Steve Holcomb Steve Langton, who won two bronze medals together.

They'll be joined by bobsledder Justin Olsen, and lugers Chris Mazdzer, Tucker West, Aidan Kelly, Summer Britcher, Matt Mortensen and Jayson Terdiman.
