Kiss and Def Leppard announced a joint summer tour in celebration of the 40th anniversary of Kiss.
The legendary rock bands launch their 40-city tour June 23 and will come to Saratoga Performing Arts Center on Aug. 5.
Tickets to the SPAC concert, at $149.50, $89.50 and $52.50, go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday online at LiveNation.com and Ticketmaster.com, at select Walmart locations or by phone at 1-800-745-3000. Lawn passes are $29.50, with four-packs available for $90.
Military personnel will have access to a pre-sale starting 10 a.m. Tuesday at www.kissonline.com and www.defleppard.com.
Kiss (vocalist/bassist Gene Simmons, vocalist/guitarist Paul Stanley, lead guitarist Tommy Thayer and drummer Eric Singer) has released 44 albums and sold more than 100 million albums worldwide.
Def Leppard (vocalist Joe Elliott, guitarist Vivian Campbell, guitarist Phil Collen, bassist Rick “Sav” Savage and drummer Rick Allen) has also sold 100 million records worldwide in its 30 years as a band.
Live Nation also announced other SPAC shows for the summer.
On June 15, the Goo Goo Dolls, with Daughtry and The Plain White T’s will be at SPAC. Tickets are $65, $45, $35 and $25 ($20 on the lawn) and go on sale Saturday at noon.
The Moody Blues will appear at SPAC Aug. 4. Tickets for this pavillion-only show are $75, $59.50, $49.50 and $39.50, and go on sale Friday.
