Jacklyn Moran, 33, of Ballston Spa, pleaded guilty in Albany County Court on Monday to felony driving while intoxicated under “Leandra’s Law.”
Moran was arrested after a property-damage accident in Colonie on Oct. 25. Albany County District Attorney David Soares said that when the other driver confronted her, Moran drove away and caused minor injuries to the driver and further damage to the driver’s vehicle. Her child was with her at the time.
Colonie police said Moran registered a blood-alcohol count of 0.24 percent, triple the legal threshold for intoxication.
Soares said Moran faces seven months in jail, five years’ probation, and will be required to have an alcohol-sensing ignition interlock on her vehicle. She was also fined $1,000. Her sentencing by Judge Stephen Herrick is scheduled for May 5.
