A Clifton Park man apprehended by the homeowner while allegedly committing a burglary last September has been indicted on multiple charges by a Saratoga County grand jury.
Stephen M. Beatty, 20, of Fern Lane, was indicted Wednesday on charges including second- and third-degree burglary, and three counts of possession of stolen property.
Beatty was arrested last Sept. 4 in Halfmoon after a homeowner caught him inside a home and was able to detain him until police arrived, police said. Both state police and the Sheriff's Department participated in the investigation.
Also Wednesday, Stephen M. Hluchnik, 44, of South Glens Falls, was indicted on one felony count and six misdemeanor counts of criminal contempt. The alleged conduct occurred last November and December in the town of Moreau.
