The former Guilderland Teacher’s Association treasurer has been arrested for allegedly stealing more

The former Guilderland Teacher’s Association treasurer has been arrested for allegedly stealing more than $100,000.

Brenda S. McClaine, 39, of 37 Armstrong Circle, Altamont, faces one count of second-degree grand larceny, a felony.

McClaine is accused of taking the money from August 2012 to October 2013 while acting as the teacher’s association treasurer. A Guilderland police press release, however, didn’t specifically say she took it from the association, though it noted she did so while acting as the treasurer. No further information was available.

McClaine was arraigned and released on $15,000 bail.
