A 48-year-old woman called 911 before she jumped out the window of her sixth-story apartment and fell to her death, Saratoga Springs police said.
The woman, whose name has not been released, was alone in her Stonequist apartment when she called 911 from her cellphone at around 9:30 p.m. Friday, police said.
“We think she went on her own accord,” police Lt. Robert Jillson said. “We don't think it was accidental, nor do I think there was any criminal activity involved.”
By the time officers responded to the Federal Street apartment complex, she had jumped out a window and fallen to the ground, police said.
The woman was taken by ambulance to the emergency room where she was later pronounced dead.
Police do not suspect anything suspicious at this time. The police did not release the woman’s name.
