Jordan Bernacet had four hits and four RBI, and combined with two teammates on a one-hitter Monday as Schenectady beat Notre Dame-Bishop Gibbons, 22-0, in the Big 10 baseball opener for both teams.

Giuseppe Carberg added three hits and three runs batted in, and Zach Schellenger homered and knocked in two runs for the Patriots.

Justin Decker turned in five innings of one-hit pitching, and Brady Fallon ripped a home run as CBA defeated Amsterdam, 10-1. Justin Gallup hit a home run for the Rams.

Trey Brammer and Bishop Kilmer combined on a four-hitter as Cohoes beat Mechanicville, 2-0, in the Colonial Council.

Bobby Gates threw a complete-game three-hitter with 14 strikeouts as Mayfield beat Middleburgh, 8-0, in the Western Athletic Conference.

Jarred Morello and Jake Soucy teamed on a one-hitter as Hoosic Valley blanked Cambridge, 5-0, in the Wasaren League. Mac Anderson hit a triple and a homer for the Indians.

DECHAIRO STARS

Isabelle Dechairo threw a two-hitter and had four hits in leading Cohoes past Mechanicville, 4-1, in the Colonial.

Dechairo had two doubles and a pair of singles, and Lily Sencer added a single and a double for the Lady Tigers.

Carli Voellm fired a two-hitter as Albany Academy downed Voorheesville, 16-2, in the Colonial. Voellm also doubled and scored four runs. Nyla McCarthy added three singles and drove in two runs, and Mia DiCaprop had a single and a triple and scored three runs.

Hailey Irvis threw a one-hitter, struck out seven and hit an RBI double as Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk downed Lansingburgh, 5-0, in another Colonial opener. Sam Filkins and Dayana Stevens added doubles for Ravena.

Lauren Balfe homered, doubled and drove in four runs as Canajoharie beat Saratoga Central Catholic, 10-8, in the Western Athletic Conference. Jocelyn Maher had three his for the Lady Saints.

Kaitlyn Kendle went 6-for-6, and Sydney Stanley, Gabi Danthine and Rachel Randazzo all added five hits as Schoharie beat Mekeel Christian Academy, 36-3, in the WAC. Stanley hit two home runs, and Randazzo and Danthine also homered. Nicole Barratiere had the Lady Lions’ only hit, and scored all three runs.

Amber Schwab hit four singles, Sabrina Williams had three singles and a double and both Jesi Freebern and Felicia Snyder had a triple and two singles as Galway bested Sharon Springs, 28-9, in the WAC.

Joanna Sydow and Morgan Daignault both hit a double and single for the Lady Spartans.

Maria Patterson finished with a two-hitter and seven strikeouts as Mohonasen opened its season by beating Albany, 7-1, in a non-leaguer.

Freshman Aubrey Marx had two doubles, Taylor Thompson had two hits, Mikenzie Tortorici had two doubles, a single and knocked in three two runs and Alyssa Sanborin hit a double for the Lady Warriors.

Gloria Shufelt’s second hit of the game produced the winning run as Troy edged Saratoga Springs, 6-5, in eight innings.

Breanna Bowen had a home run and an RBI single that tied the game in the home seventh. Ellen Mangona had a triple among three hits for Saratoga.

Sasha Bonesteel drove in three runs to lead Emma Willard past Berlin, 14-3, and Erika Mitchell and Alaina Harrington teamed up on a no-hitter as Rensselaer beat Doane Stuart, 19-1, in the Central Hudson Valley League.

Emma Hardy fired in eight goals as Albany Academy downed Hoosick Falls, 17-4, in a Capital District Women’s Lacrosse League game. Hardy also assisted on three goals, and Gabriella Uccellini added five goals for Academy.

Catie Vivian’s four goals led Holy Names past Emma Willlard, 7-4. Katie Smith had thre goals for Emma Willard.
