A man accused of fleeing a traffic stop injured an officer in the process, authorities said.

A man accused of fleeing a traffic stop injured an officer in the process, authorities said.

Zachary K. Palombo, 24, of Summit Avenue, faces one count each of second-degree assault, a felony, and resisting arrest and obstructing governmental administration, misdemeanors.

Palombo is accused of fleeing officers on foot from a traffic stop early Tuesday in Mont Pleasant. When officers caught up to him, an officer suffered a scrape to a hand in the struggle, according to papers filed in court
