The entire Fire Department platoon was needed to get a large shed fire under control on Albany and State streets Monday night.
By the time firefighters were called around 9:40 p.m., the blaze had already spread to trees and then nearby structures, according to dispatchers. Power lines complicated the fight.
But by 10:20 p.m., the fire was out, and only hot spots remained, dispatchers said.
Firefighters mobilized on State Street to fight the fire, which started behind a building on Albany Street and spread toward State Street.
Dispatchers weren’t sure of the address, saying they had multiple calls for the fire. It appeared to be on the 900 block of Albany Street. On State Street, the fire was near Steuben Street.
