Two juveniles face felony charges, and a third was being sought for questioning, after exploded and undetonated homemade bottle bombs were discovered Sunday at two locations in the city.

At 5:10 p.m. Amsterdam police received a call reporting "popping noises" and youths congregating at a vacant house at 255 Division St. City police and fire personnel discovered seven exploded bottles and five that had yet to detonate. Another six unexploded devices were found behind an old factory on Yeoman Street.

The New York State Police Bomb Squad was called in to neutralize the bottle bombs.

After an investigation two 14-year-old males were charged with two felonies ‑ third-degree criminal possession of a weapon and second-degree placing a false bomb or hazardous substance ‑ and second-degree reckless endangerment, a misdemeanor. They were due in court Monday.
