The Schenectady County Child Advocacy Center is holding a free workshop for parents, professionals and others interested in protecting children from sexual abuse.
The workshop is scheduled for Monday from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the Mohonasen High School auditorium, 2072 Curry Road, Rotterdam.
The workshop is titled “Child Safety: Lessons We Can Learn From Sex Offenders.” The speaker will be Cory Jewell Jensen, co-director of the Center for Behavioral Intervention in Beaverton, Ore.
No registration is required. The event is open to residents of Schenectady County, but nonresidents will be accommodated if space allows. Due to graphic content, children and teenagers should not attend.
