A Bronx man was found with more than 11⁄2 pounds of cocaine after fleeing police on his motorcycle and reaching speeds faster than 130 mph on Wednesday, state police in Albany said.
Carlos A. Sued, 36, was speeding on I-87 in Bethlehem when police tried to pull him over and he sped up, police said.
Sued then reached speeds faster than 130 mph and wove dangerously in and out of traffic before attempting to make a U-Turn, dropping his bike on its side and fleeing on foot, police said.
Moments later, troopers caught up, safely took Sued into custody and found more than 11⁄2 pounds of cocaine in his possession, police said.
Sued was charged with first-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a class A felony, criminal possession of a narcotic substance with intent to sell, a class B felony, and third-degree unlawful fleeing of a police officer and resisting arrest, both misdemeanors.
