Singer and songwriter Duncan Sheik, composer for the Tony Award winning musical “Spring Awakening,” will perform during the eighth annual SaratogaArtsFest, scheduled June 11-15.
“An Evening with Duncan Sheik” will be presented on Friday, June 13 at the Arthur Zankel Music Center at Skidmore College.
Sheik, who plays guitar and piano, launched his musical career in 1996 with the Grammy-nominated pop hit, “Barely Breathing.”
Sheik’s stage production of “American Psycho” opened last year in London to rave reviews.
Tickets to his show are $50 or $25 with an ARTSPASS.
SaratogaArtsFest is a citywide celebration for adults and children featuring music, dance, visual art, film, theater and literary events.
On Thursday, June 12, the Martha Graham Dance Company will perform at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center.
On Saturday, June 14, artists working outdoors will create downtown cityscapes during a “Paint Out” event.
Two family-oriented events, Kids Do Art and the Beekman Street Art Fair are scheduled on Sunday, June 15.
The ARTSPASS is $40 for adults and seniors, $35 for military personnel. Admission is free for children age 12 and under.
