An agreement in principle has been reached to move the Calgary Flames' American Hockey League affiliate to the Glens Falls Civic Center starting in time for the 2014-15 season, according to a television report.

NewsChannel 13 reported the NHL franchise and the city has reached a tentative accord to relocate the Abbotsford (B.C.) Heat. They would replace the Adirondack Phantoms, the Philadelphia Flyers' affiliate that is moving to Pennsylvania.

There are remaining details needing to be finalized, WNYT reported.

The Phantoms played five years in Glens Falls before the long-expected move to a new facility in Allentown, Pa. Abbotsford has been rumored to be one if not the only potential AHL replacement.
