A man fired at least one shot this afternoon during a street argument in Mont Pleasant, police said.
No one was injured in the incident.
Police were called to the corner of Sunset Street and Second Avenue just before 2 p.m. for the report of the fired shot.
The man is believed to have fired the shot after an argument between two groups of people in the area.
The initial argument ended when one group left. But it resumed when that side returned a short time later, police said.
After the argument resumed, a man described as white, in his 30s and wearing a red shirt and black pants, removed a handgun from his waist and fired at least one round. The man then fled in an unknown vehicle.
No arrests have been made, police said. Anyone with information is asked to contact investigators at 382-5200 ext. 5617.
