Two people, including one from Schenectady, face cocaine-related charges in Nelliston, Montgomery County sheriff’s officials said.
Jonathon K. Dixon, 43, of 79 Robinson St., Schenectady, and Nora E. Kinard, 35, of Cherry Valley, were arrested Friday morning after a raid at a residence on Luft Lane, officials said.
Members of the county wide swat team raided the home, finding numerous rifles, including an AR-15, officials said. No one was at the residence at the time of the raid. Investigators soon found Dixon and Kinard at the Budget Inn Motel in Palatine Bridge.
Inside their hotel room, investigators found cocaine, marijuana and cash, they said.
Dixon faces one count each of third-degree criminal possession and sale of a controlled substance, felonies. He also faces a violation of unlawful possession of marijuana.
Kinard faces one count of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony, and violation of unlawful possession of marijuana.
Dixon was ordered held on $20,000 bail, while Kinard was ordered held on $5,000 bail.
The countywide swat team consists of members of the Sheriff’s Department and Amsterdam police.
